Tax Season

I am pretty sure that I did my taxes wrong this year. What leads me to this conclusion is that right now I seem to owe over $204,000 on my state return. It also seems that I owe a penalty of more than $17,000. Seeing as how the penalty alone is nearly half of what I make, I have a feeling I have done something really wrong. I hate doing my taxes. It seems to get a hundred times more complicated every year. YUCK!
